Microsoft acquires yet one more studio with inXile Leisure
Trying again inXile has a historical past of buddying up with Microsoft, so when latest rumors prompt that they had been figuring out a deal to turn out to be acquired by them, it made sense.
Again in 2013 its CEO Brian Fargo talked up Microsoft’s method to indie video games and now they’re indie no extra. Microsoft revealed to the world at X018 that they’ve picked up the studio, which the corporate says makes “deep, participating role-playing video games.” Microsoft says, as they did again at E3 with their different companions, that they’ll “proceed to function autonomously.”
As a reminder the corporate primarily works on RPGs, having developed the favored Wasteland sequence and several other revivals for Interaction’s previous Bards Story franchise. inXile’s subsequent huge venture is Wasteland 3, due in 2019 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
